JACKSON -- The end of the season is near as conference titles have been claimed, spots at the state meet have been won, and only a handful of meets remain on the schedule.

And yet through all the meets which have been run, one mark from the very start of the season still sits atop the leaderboard in one category. That belongs to Napoleon long jumper Alyssa Budd, who went 17′9.5 in a home meet on April 6, and no one has beaten it since.

Time is running out for other long jumpers to match it.
